Indianapolis- The Salvation Army expanded its flood relief efforts today as it called into action nearly every Salvation Army response vehicle in the state. With temperatures hovering around 90 degrees and local communities under boil water orders, the greatest need has become hydration. The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service Vehicles are serving food, water and Gatorade in Martinsville, Paragon, Columbus, Franklin, and parts of Shelby County. In El Nora, The Salvation Army will begin to bring hydration to the National Guard Troops working there. Salvation Army personal are also assessing needs in Johnson County.
Tomorrow, The Salvation Army will join Entercom stations, WZPL, WXNT, and WNTR in raising money to assist the victims of the recent floods. Donations can be at the Panera Bread at Glendale Mall, and at the Panera Bread at 5335 E. Southport Rd. Donations can also be made online at WZPL.com, 1079thetrack.com, and WXNT.com.
