Today, Indianapolis Colts fans showed their loyalty to their team and to their community. The annual WISHtree toy collection outside of Lucas Oil Stadium brought in more than 3,300 toys and thousands of dollars in donations. Both the toys and the money will be used for the upcoming Salvation Army Toy Shop.
Last year, The Salvation Army distributed toys to nearly 700 families at its annual Toy Shop at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This year, over 1000 families have applied for assistance, marking it as the largest Christmas assistance program ever for The Salvation Army in Indianapolis.
Thousands of toys are still needed. Find out how you can make your donation at IndyWISHtree.org.
