It was Salvation Army day at Victory Field as the Indianapolis Indians hosted Christmas Eve in July. The event was part of the ongoing “Lend a Helping Glove” campaign by the Indians which will award $10,000 to the winning charity in the Lend a Helping Glove contest.
To vote for The Salvation Army’s glove text KETTLE to 86132. You can text once a day!
The giant Red Kettle bounce house could be seen over left field and The Salvation Army’s glove, sponsored by REACH and TKO Graphics, was also there to encourage people to text and vote for The Salvation Army. Another part of the Christmas Eve in July celebration was Salvation Army Development Director, Jeff Stanger, getting to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The Indianapolis Indians are great partners with The Salvation Army. Indians players have visited and played games with kids at our Eagle Creek Community Center and Rowdie, the Indians mascot, has stopped by Salvation Army events such as the Red Kettle Cookout. We want to say thank you to the Indians for supporting The Salvation Army in central Indiana.
