The Indianapolis Indians are celebrating 125 years of professional baseball in Indianapolis and have teamed up with 5 local charities to “Lend a Helping Glove”. It’s a contest where the winning charity will receive $10,000 – a huge help towards continuing to serve Hoosiers through programs and services here in Indy. Each charity was given a “naked” glove to then decorate to represent their cause. Fans are asked to vote for their favorite charity’s glove – each on display throughout the city.
The Salvation Army’s glove was designed by TKO Graphix and sponsored by Reach Magazine with the theme, “Catch us doing the most good!” Initially on display at Victory Field, our glove will make appearances at different businesses during the contest period which ends August 19th,2011.
Fans can vote for The Salvation Army’s glove two ways, only once daily:
- Text “KETTLE” to 86132
- Purchase votes at www.lendahelpingglove.com (all proceeds go to charity voted for no matter who wins)
