The Salvation Army of Central Indiana kicked off its annual Red Kettle Christmas Campaign with a public ceremony on Thursday, November 12. The event was held in the center court of Castleton Square Mall, just outside of Macy’s, on the spot where shoppers are able to adopt “Angels” from Salvation Army Angel Trees.

The goal for this year’s campaign is $3.5 million. The money raised will go toward supporting Salvation Army programs and services throughout central Indiana. The Salvation Army Red Kettle, one of the most recognizable symbols of Christmas, can be found at more than 175 locations throughout central Indiana.
