It was a record-breaking year for the WIBC Radiothon benefiting The Salvation Army Bed and Bread Club. This 36-hour fundraiser celebrated its 21st year by surpassing its $250,000 goal and raising over $274,000 to help Salvation Army food and shelter programs in 2016.
The WIBC Radiothon broadcast live on 93.1 WIBC, kicking off Friday at 6:00 a.m. with Tony Katz and wrapping up on Saturday evening at Sullivan Hardware & Gardens with co-hosts Pat Sullivan and Denny Smith. FasTrack Mechanical was the title sponsor for the event, with additional Tote Board sponsorship from The Mutual Fund Store and Phone Bank sponsorship from Kroger. Additional hourly, prize and food sponsors helped Salvation Army and WIBC staff and volunteers raise these much-needed funds for local facilities like The Salvation Army’s Harbor Light Center and Ruth Lilly Women & Children’s Center.
Many thanks to the donors and sponsors who made the 2015 WIBC Radiothon such a huge success! We’re especially grateful to the staff at WIBC and Emmis Communications who gave so much time and effort into the production of this event.
