The Salvation Army in Fountain Square invites you to boogie down and Rock The Pantry!
In an effort to fill the shelves of the the much-used, much-needed food pantry, the Fountain Square Corps is hosting a ’70s themes dance party from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Grab your love beads and a sack filled with canned goods! Head to the community center for a good time all while helping replenish an empty food pantry. The evening will include disco dancing and costume contests.
The Salvation Army in Fountain Square has been a major presence in the Indianapolis community since 1971. During that time, it has served the families in the community in a number of ways ranging from after school programs and partnering with local schools for facility use to giving the older adults a place with company to eat a hot lunch and even helping families keep their lights on.
Fountain Square is now asking for the community’s help.
The food pantry is struggling to stay stocked. Supplies are running low, and sometimes, the pantry runs out of food. The shelves need to be filled quickly so the pantry can continue to serve those in need in the Indianapolis community.
