The Salvation Army will kick off its annual Tree of Lights campaign at the Salvation Army’s headquarters on Thursday, November 15 at 11:30 AM. The event will feature guest from around the community including this year’s Tree of Lights chairman, WISH-TV 8’s Eric Halvorson. The Salvation Army will once again partner with WISH-TV8 for the WISH Tree toy program.
The 2007 Tree of Lights, which includes the Red Kettle campaign, has a goal $2.75 million. The money raised will go towards supporting Salvation Army programs and services throughout the greater Indianapolis area. With the money raised last year, The Salvation Army was able to help men and women battling addictions, women and children trapped in domestic violence, families who needed shelter and seniors who needed hot meals to eat and a friendly visit.
