It’s official! The Salvation Army has been chosen as the charity of choice for this year’s SkyConcert. Our thanks to Hank FM and ADVANTAGE Health for their support. All of the donations collected at SkyConcert will go to support our homelessness initiatives right here in Central Indiana. About 1,300 Indianapolis children face homelessness each year and it’s our goal to drop this number down to zero!
But we can’t do it alone. We need your help. We need volunteers to help us collect donations before and after SkyConcert. Here’s how it works:
- Volunteer in teams of two to mingle among the crowds at SkyConcert, armed with a bucket to collect donations from SkyConcert patrons.
- Volunteers get a free T-Shirt, a great dinner, compliments of Quality Connection and IBEW 48, a private area to watch the fireworks from 9:30 – 10:00pm.
In order to volunteer you will need to stop by one of our volunteer training sessions this Thursday, August 21, and next Monday, August 25. Stop by anytime between 3:30 and 7:30 PM. Contact our volunteer coordinator, Elizabeth Wilhelm, to sign-up.
